On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Zombies called "Odessey & Oracle" and is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Orange CBS labels!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF THE ZOMBIES RAREST LPs EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1968 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS (ONLY A FEW HUNDRED COPIES IN MONO!), AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!!!!  AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  THOUGH THIS LP SOLD POORLY, IT WAS AVAILABLE ON THE CBS LABEL UNTIL LATE 1970.  THIS IS SHOWN BY MANY CBS COMPILATION LPs OF THE TIME - WHERE IT IS ADVERTISED FOR PURCHASE INSIDE!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT - BUT WITH THE HUGE SUCCESS OF 'TIME OF THE SEASON' IN 1969 (OVER ONE YEAR AFTER THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED), MOST COPIES WERE PURCHASED IN 1969 AND NOT 1968 - AND ARE CLEARLY LATER PRESSINGS!!!!  FIRST EXAMPLE ANY COPIES WITH 'GOLD STEREO' STICKERS DATE FROM 1969 (AND NOT 1968!) AND WERE MADE 1 YEAR AFTER RELEASE!!!!  AND ANY COPIES WITH SMOOTH LABELS WERE AGAIN MADE IN LATE 1969/EARLY 1970 - AND NOT 1968!!!!  AND THIS IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT WITH STEREO PRESSINGS OF THIS LP!!!!  BECAUSE WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED IN 1968 - MONOs WERE STILL MASSIVELY OUT SELLING STEREOs.  THEREFORE AT LEAST 80% OF 100% GENIUNE 1968 1ST PRESSINGS WERE MADE IN MONO - WITH BARELY ANY IN STEREO AT ALL!!!!  WHEREAS IN 1969 WHEN THIS LP WAS RE-PRESSED, STEREOs WERE FAR MORE COMMON!!!!  SO IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND A 100% GENIUNE 'EARLIEST' STEREO 1ST PRESSING FROM 1968 (WITH THE 'RED STEREO' PRINT - AND NOT THE LATER GOLD STICKER!) - AS ONLY A FEW HUNDRED COPIES WERE EVER MADE!!!!  THIS IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE ALL TIME RAREST & 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE (AND AT LEAST 5 TIMES RARER THAN ANY OTHER VERSION!)!!!!

AND ALTHOUGH THIS LP HAS AS FEW DETAILS TO NOTE (SEE BELOW) - IT IS ONE OF THE RAREST UK PSYCH LPs EVER MADE, AND IS STILL A VERY PRESENTABLE EXAMPLE, WHICH PLAYS WELL!!!!  IT ALSO HAS AN ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT COVER - AND IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1968 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'FULLY TEXTURED' ORANGE CBS LABEL (LATER 1969/70 RE-PRESSINGS HAVE SMOOTH LABELS INSTEAD!), 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS CBS ADVERTISING INNER SLEEVE, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'RED STEREO' PRINT ON THE REVERSE OF THE COVER (LATER 1969 RE-PRESSINGS HAVE GOLD STICKERS INSTEAD!), AND 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'E.J.DAY' LAMINATED COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE (ESPECIALLY IN MEGA RARE MONO!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL CBS UK 1st Pressing from 1968 and is SERIOUSLY rare in EVERY respect!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is SBPG 63280 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Orange CBS label (see picture) and is a much MUCH rarer UK Stereo 1st Pressing!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO writing, NO wear, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is still VERY bright & shiny looking indeed - and plays though fine!!!!  In fact, it plays with SUPERB clarity, NO distortion, and is still a GREAT listen - which is clearly because it has BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  However - this record is simple to describe.  It is what is commonly termed in the record collecting world as 'a player'.  In other words, although there are a few visual imperfections - it plays through fine (and in this case WELL!) - with NO jumps, and NO sticks!!!!  However although ALL of the record is still VERY bright and shiny indeed (and is JET BLACK and NOT grey and lifeless!), there are a few lines/marks on either side.  Probably it was left out of its cover once in the past. However, it is still a VERY bright & shiny example and still VERY presentable indeed!!!!  The record plays with NO skips, a few clicks/pops, NO jumps, NO sticks, barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  And despite the few clicks/pops - because this record has clearly BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL the sound quality itself is simply SUPERB - with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  Therefore I will only MEGA STRICTLY give this record the lowest possible grading of a record that does not jump - Fair+ (though most would probably grade Good here) - though the playing is definitely better than this, and I enjoyed listening to this one for sure!!!!  And indeed, the playing grading is better than the grading given, as this record still plays VERY well indeed, and is a GREAT listen!!!!  Most importantly there is NO sticks, NO jumps, NO hiss, NO groovewear and NO DISTORTION AT ALL!!!!  That said - I have been as clear as possible to avoid any disappointment!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press CBS advertising inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'E.J.Day' Laminated Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), VERY shiny laminate, NO rips, NO tears, only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), NO splits, NO annotations, and NO writing!!!!  There is also NO pinholes, NO holes, and NO nasty marks either!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the unlaminated cover back is in BRILLIANT condition with NO sticker marks, barely ANY grubbyness AT ALL (virtually NONE!), NO yellowing, NO sticker tears, NO ringwear, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  BRILLIANT COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE (ESPECIALLY AS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
