Description
FONTANA FJL123: ZOOT SIMS 'Cookin'!'
UK recorded jazz rarity from 1961 (issued 1965), one of two albums presenting material by this giant of the tenor saxophone during a stay at Ronnie Scott's Club. ("Zoot At Ronnie Scott's" is also being listed.) Sims leads the house rhythm section made up of Stan Tracey (p), Kenny Napper (b) and Jackie Dougan (d). On one track *, Jimmy Deuchar (tp) and Scott (ts), himself are added. This is an UK 1st Fontana mono pressing with grey-blue/silver printing label.

CONDITION/DESCRIPTION: The disc is E (VG+) with some light to very light scratches/scuffs and a very small amount of light general groove wear, visible under a bright 'grading' light. These have little affect on the playing. The cover is also E (VG+), with some surface scratching/rubbing and a small amount of surface dirt. There is a very small seam split (1.00cm) at the bottom right hand corner.
