Original mono UK Vogue LP, catalogue number LAE 12053, recorded by Storyville Records Boston in New York City August 1956, of the Bobby Brookmeyer – Zoot Simms Quintet entitled “Whooeeee”. Ridged ‘microgroove’ Vogue label 1st. press with matrix 1B / 1B. Tracks (side 1) – The King, Lullaby of the Leaves, I Can’t Get Started, Snake Eyes; (side 2) – Morning Fun, Whooeeee! Someone to Watch Over Me, My Old Flame, Box Cars.
Disc is clean and shiny with occasional very light marks on Side 1. Great sound quality with 3 light ticks on each side. Sleeve intact with some edge/corner creasing; slight laminate lift on rear; discoloured.
