Hello, fellow sonic travellers... Dom & Sarah here - two devoted and incurable music addicts.
We're auctioning a truly amazing collection of massively rare and highly sought-after records, most of them new and unplayed and all starting at just 1p. We bought two copies of each of these records - one to play, and one to keep as a spare.
We've just learnt our landlord is selling our house, bah!! and we have to make a small fortune quickly to find a new place. Renting in Brighton ain't cheap - so to get some shekels together quickly, we're selling our spare copies of these brilliant records. This way at least we can spread some glorious vibes to other music freaks like ourselves, and hopefully be able to move to a magical new abode...

It was released on 7/10/12 on the Altvinyl label.
It's unplayed and in mint condition... and incredibly rare and massively desirable!
"Devoid of any pictorial imagery or narrative text, this is a set of three label-less heavy weight translucent records – a 7-inch, 10-inch and 12-inch – housed (suspended and separated) in a custom made heavy textured card archive clam shell lined box along with traces of the area's unfathomable prehistory: a blind rubbing – a paper impression – taken from one of the neolithic cup and ring carved stones that pepper the region and a vial containing dried hawthorn berries, a tree with imbued with much pre-Christian metaphysical meaning." - Label press release
Zoviet France are one of the few remaining enigmas of English post-industrial music. Nowadays a duo, based in Newcastle in the cold North East of England since 1980, their music upholds a tradition of lo-fi exploration incorporating the influence of their locale and the spirit of exploratory improvisation within a context of pseudo-ethnomusicology and primitivism. Their sound can be likened to the often impenetrable dialect of their region, a unique vocabulary and spellbinding grimoir which perhaps infers more by cadence, rhythm and surreal sense of humour than the "correct" use of words themselves. With this in mind, '7.10.12' renders three sides of genuinely beguiling drone music whose strengths lie in its ability to seduce and transport with an almost subliminal, hypnagogic quality thanks to their romantic and anachronistic grasp of musical language. Comparisons with other groups never quite fit; they and their music much better described in terms of the rugged north eastern seaboard, or the rolling lowlands of Northumbria and its pre-historic heritage, a landscape successively occupied by Celts, Romans and Vikings, and home to a deeply engrained folk culture. Admittedly, we've got a connection with the region, but that doesn't cloud our judgement here - this is a beautiful body of work from a very peculiar end of this musical earth. Highly recommended!

Sorry for the postage costs, but UK postal rates were recently updated by a committee which included Emperor Ming, Satan and the Cenobites from the Hellraiser movies. We don't make any profit on postage charges, and we don't charge for packing materials (which are often recycled). So what you pay for is what it costs to send... but if for any reason postage costs less, we'll refund the difference as soon as your package is sent. All records are packaged very safely with cardboard stiffeners. Any questions, feel free to ask. Anyone who bids without understanding these instructions will be made to lick the backs of Mick Hucknall's clammy knees after he's lost at squash to Tony Blair, and listen to a selection of Cliff Richard's Christmas "hits" blasted through headphones tied on to your head with your own intestines, while Anne Widdecombe dances a lascivious burlesque in the background wearing a skimpy outfit made only of pages from Leviticus.
