Description
Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.
Grading is based on visual inspection.
Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve.
I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.
- Tommy Bolin was a founding member of this Boulder, CO based band. The band's self-titled debut album was the first recording by Tommy Bolin.
- The Seller fondly remembers Bolin frequenting his record store on a daily basis beginning when he was a newly arrived 19 year-old from Iowa and was playing in a local band called Zephyr.
- He was a great guy and incredibly talented. However, it was the Seller's observation that Tommy seemed to lack confidence in his ability and was uncertain about his destiny. His meteoric rise was paralleled by substance abuse that took his life all too soon.
- This document of his first recording is on thick vinyl.
- There are a couple spindle marks but the playing surface is clean, NM.
- The paper on heavy board Gatefold cover has tight seams and spine. There is some storage wear around the edges.
- The "Promotional Copy Not For Sale" sticker is on the back cover lower left.
- The original plain white die-cut inner sleeve has faded with age. I have included a soft plastic inner sleeve.
- This is a one-owner. Seller got it new from the ABC rep in his store in 1969. It has been in storage for 45 years.
