Description

A super rare original record with Darlene Love the most famous backup singer of all time produced by Phil Spector Phillies records PHLP – 4002. Has phlpbbs100x engraved near label in vinyl. No writing on label or cover. Sounds great in very good condition with minor scuffs, needs to be cleaned. cover in great shape with a little 2 inch split at the top and a little damage at bottom corners. Amazing that Darlene love's last name isn't even on the record she sung with legends like Sam Cooke Diane Warwick the Beach boys Elvis Presley Tom Jones Sonny and Cher John Phillips Johnny Rivers Michael Jackson and too many to list. she was on monster mash and shindig and also sang on the Crystals famous song Do run run and they just put out a movie about her in 2013 called 20 feet from stardom. It was at the Sundance film Festival. This record, her trio, called the bob-b sox and the bluejeans, is who recorded a cover version of the zip a Dee Doo dah Oscar-winning song from the 1946 Walt Disney film song of the south they got in the top 10 in 1963. She's an amazing singer and person. Don't miss this early piece of rock and roll history.
