Description

This was the Zipps 4th record, entitled "Marie Juana", b/w "The Struggle For Ice Cold Milk Of Benzi The Bass Player, Or How to Promote Original Dutch Milk". This 45 is fairly rare, although it does appear for sale from time to time. I've never seen a signed one, though. I had this one signed by The Zipps when I saw them live on December 10, 2000 in Dordrecht, The Netherlands, their hometown. It was signed by Philip Byron, Peter Nuyten, John Noce Santoro, Wim Klein, Ruud van Seventer, and Janco Barut, all of whom were original members of The Zipps in the 60's. Of those members, only Philip, Peter, and John played on this record. Their original bass player, Theo Verschoor, died of a drug overdose, so he could not participate in the reunion. Condition: Record VG; Cover VG. Record has some visible scuffs/scratches (see photo), but plays like a VG+ record. I've graded it as VG, though, to be on the conservative side. MP3 samples available upon request.

As an added bonus, I will include several photos of The Zipps playing live at their reunion show in Dordrecht from December, 10, 2000.

Incidentally, I was the creator of the first Zipps website on the Internet way back in 1999, which is still hosted on Angelfire to this day!
