Description

Elektra EKL 74009  Matrix 4009 A (A) / 4009 B (A)
Please note cover is EXS 74009 stereo while the vinyl is EXL (Mono) not a mix up, there were more stereo covers so they were used for mono issues as this sold in low number on its release.
The Zodiac Cosmic Sounds was issued by Elektra Records in May 1967 and featured early use of the Moog synthesizer by Paul Beaver, with music written by Mort Garson, words by Jacques Wilson, and narration by Cyrus Faryar. Must be played in the dark!
Cover: EXS 74009 Stereo
US heavy weight cardboard sleeve, shows slight (normal) age related signs of handling, light scuffing on edges, light ringwear but no tears, rips or writing (see photos) good solid VG+
Labels: Classic red Elektra labels EKL
with nice clean big  Elektra "E" light spindle marks only (see photos) VG+
Vinyl: retains a lovely sheen, a few wispy surface lines and light non-feelable scratches only, solid VG+
Audio: Nice mono audio, no jumps, sticks or skips, light background un-obtrusive crackle which DOES NOT overwhelm at all, but is there in places, run in, in between some tracks etc., audio plays through at a constant VG+.
Good all-round decent copy, solid VG+ that won’t disappoint - £26.66 or best 'reasonable' offer.
I have tried to be honest and transparent in my description - the photographs form part of the description. Questions are welcome, don't hesitate to ask. I have good feedback (and positive comments) as both a buyer and seller, so you can buy with confidence. I am a collector the few records I sell are either the results of upgrades or duplicates. If anything is not as expected, please contact me straight away, and I will do everything to resolve any problems without argument.

I strictly adhere to the Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide using one + or - for addition guidance:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
