- Features: Zoot Sims (1925-1985) was an American jazz saxophonist, playing mainly tenor and soprano...following in the footsteps of Lester Young, Sims developed into an innovative saxophonist...throughout his career, he played with big bands starting with Kenny Baker, Artie Shaw, Buddy Rich, Woody Herman...in the 1950s and 1960s, he and Al Cohn...were favorites at the 'Half Note Club' in New Your City.
