acetate 45 DANNY WHITE northern soul “Keep My Woman Home/Dedicating  HEAR

Something special this week, a true piece of soul history.  An original two-sided 7-inch acetate, featuring New Orleans soul legend DANNY WHITE. 

On one side is the killer uptempo dancer issued as “Keep My Woman Home” under its original title “Give Everything,” backed by the beautiful deep soul ballad “I’m Dedicating.”  The tunes were recorded in Memphis at Stax Studios during the mid 60s.  The acetate was uncovered several years ago in a Washington, D.C. storage unit, the locale where Danny spent the later years of his life prior to his passing in 1996.  This is indeed "one-of-a-kind."

Condition:   Nice VG with nearly 100% of original gloss.  Has some scuffing and a couple light to moderate marks, but none are serious.  You will hear an occasional tick here and there, but overall pretty decent shape for an acetate that has been around for nearly 50 years.  No pops or skips.

Labels display rubbing.  Song titles and “45 RPM” are typewritten, and “Danny White” is handwritten on both sides in ballpoint pen.
