silva's grandiose three l/p orchestral opus recorded paris 29 XII 1970. having just listened to all six sides i am again convinced that it is the unsurpassed achievement in large ensemble 'free' jazz & improv. from the consistently terrifying soloing to the concussive ensemble densities to the extreme pianissimos to the riotous introductions of the musicians ending the record, the levels of integration & communication w/ in the group are supremely exultant & absolutely psychedelic. as a side note many young electro-acoustic & "noise" musicians could go to school for years on this music. this copy is signed & decorated by silva on an inside panel (see photo). sleeve has some bumping to corners, mild ringwear, light general aging.
