Description
BEATLES - SERGEANT PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND - UK MONO. BEAUTIFUL COPY.
This is an original and complete mono copy of Sgt.Pepper in better than excellent condition. This record has been played (I played it myself to check the audio) so can't accurately be described as mint, but it really is hard to fault this superb copy in any way. The vinyl shows only the slightest signs of having been played (only the usual feint lines caused by removing/returning the disc from inner cover) and on test delivered perfect reproduction with no deteriation in sound quality. There are no scratches to cause unwanted clicks or pops.
The sleeve is beautifully crisp with very minor visible wear and just one small crease to the bottom left of the rear gatefold. The original psychedelic inner sleeve has slight creasing at the base but is in overall excellent shape with no splits or rips. The cut-out insert is mint.
The gentleman who originally owned this LP told me he hadn't played it since just a few months after he bought it and then it was only ever played on his high quality Garrard 301 deck. And as I auditioned the record on my (equally high quality) Thorens TD124 deck, it has only been used with the best equipment. It certainly hasn't been ravished by an old Dansette!
For those who require the information stamped in the run out groove it is as follows:
Side 1 - matrix no. XEX 637-1. The letters LD appear at 3 o'clock and the number 3 at 9 o'clock.
Side 2 - matrix no. XEX 638-1. The letters HP appear at 3 o'clock and the number 4 at 9 o'clock.
Bid with confidence on this gorgeous item. You will not be disappointed.
