This legendary and very hard to find lp was the inspiration for the name of the band pink flloyd
"‘The name Pink Floyd comes from two blues singers from Georgia, USA – Pink Anderson and Floyd Council,’ explained Syd. Barrett picked up a 1962 Blind Fuller LP, Country Blues: 1935-1940, and chanced upon the surnames of Carolina blues men Floyd Council and Pinkney Anderson from the liner notes" (from: Julian Palacios, "Syd Barrett & Pink Floyd: Dark Globe")
it is a superb album a real joy to listen to gary davis and blind boy fuller and sonny terry are the top of the tree for country blues and you can hear the joy on every track

The folio sleeve is in good condition as pictured above and the vinyl is in at least very good condition for a record of this vintage the sound quality is excellent all the way through there are a few light small surface marks although these do not impact on the sound quality of the record the only crackle is on a couple of tracks towards the end of side two although this is only for about half a track and not all that intursive and to be honest if this is an issue I would stongly suggest moving over to collecting classical records........this one is a real collectors item and has a set of truly classic songs sounding the way they are supposed to on a great heacy vinyl pressing........superb!
