Description

You are bidding on a vintage and original, 78 rpm, 1949 pressing of BABY, IT'S COLD OUTSIDE recorded by MARGARET WHITING AND JOHNNY MERCER.  This original shellac record was released by Capitol Records.  The Margaret Whiting and Johnny Mercer collaboration was recorded on March 19, 1949 and reached the Billboard Best Sellers chart in May of that year, peaking at #4.  This vintage, 1949 recording features the original lyrics to this now-controversial Christmas standard.  The b-side of this record features a recording of I NEVER HEARD YOU SAY, another Whiting/Mercer collaboration.  This original, 1949, 78 rpm recording of Baby It's Cold Outside is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks to the record and very minimal scratching.

SIZE: This vintage and original shellac record measures approximately 10" in diameter

CONDITION: Very Good, Estate Condition.  This record has been played and lacs its original sleeve.  There are no cracks, chips or large scratches to the shellac of the record.  The paper label remains in very good condition on both sides.  Please see the high-res images above for greater detail, or feel free to contact me for more information.
