Description
Of all the jazz songs ever recorded, everyone knows at least one: Take Five by Brubeck.
But on this album Brubeck goes beyond the standard jazz of the early 50's to introduce some interesting time and chord changes, as well as to infuse a significant amount of cool. This is THE jazz album if you're looking to recreate the whole Mad Men vibe. As mid-century modern as a rocketship clock or a martini bar.
Grading:
- Sleeve: NM yeah, there's a tiny amount of discoloration on the edge from where the shrink peeled back, but otherwise the sleeve is flawless -- and it does still have the original shrink.
- Vinyl: EX There's some cosmetic flaw in the form of surface scratches, scuffing, and some loss of sheen, but the proof of vinyl is in the play, and the play is great! Clean sounds, only the very slightest ambient noise, but no popping or skipping. Pure music.
