Description

dbx LP:
Morton Gould & The LSO -
DIGITAL SPACE -
Varese Sarabande VCDM 1000.20 -
Japanese Pressing –
Factory Sealed

It's difficult calling any album "spectacular" with a straight face, but this certainly is one.

Featuring Morton Gould at baton over the LSO, it offers some of the finest renditions of movie scores that I've ever heard, and that includes the Gerhardt series on Rca.

The inspired selections include Gould's WINDJAMMER, Williams' STAR WARS, Newman's AIRPORT, Copland's THE RED PONY, Bliss' THINGS TO COME, Rozsa's TRIBUTE TO A BADMAN, Vaughn Williams' 49TH PARALLEL, even Walton's SPITFIRE.

A fine piece of vinyl that sounds quite spectacular!  (Watch your levels, the dynamics here can toast a tweeter or two in a real hurry, if you’re not careful.)

An all-out dbx edition, Japanese pressing, here factory sealed.

For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
