Description
Ah, the Dead Milkmen. Those wacky kids from Philadelphia with the bad luck to come after domestic punk had hit the high water mark with Black flag, Fear, the Germs, and the Dead Kennedys, but before the resurrection by the Offspring and Green Day. Come to think of it, all those other punk bands were California based. Maybe the Milkmen's bad luck was to be from the city of brotherly love and not from the Golden State?
In any case, Bucky Fellini was their 3rd album, and contains exactly what you expect from these kids.
This is the original Enigma release for radio stations from 1987. It even includes a letter on radical orange paper giving the bands bio and history, so the dj's back then would sound like they've been fans since the beginning.
Oh, I also have two other Milkmen albums, so stock up!
Grading:
- Jacket - NM: No creasing, no significant corner wear, and no spine wear. If it weren't for the fact this is a punch-out album and has a promo sticker put on by the label, this would be mint.
- Sleeve - NM: The original plastic Enigma marketing sleeve, pimping other bands and other albums
- Vinyl - NM: This looks and sounds like a dream - no hisses, pops, or skips. Vinyl is clean with wonderful sheen and no visible surface wear.
A note about grading: I try to be as honest and objective as possible for all cosmetic evaluation, but obviously opinions differ. My VG+ might be your NM and some other dude's G. However, I made sure to confirm the vinyl play grading by putting this sucker on the turntable and listening to it. And trust me, this evaluation was fun.
