Description

Up for auction here is...and oddity to say the least. This is a cassette of mixes from the original Cows and Beer master tape. When the band recorded the 7", they used a rookie engineer who was never really happy with the final product. They decided to revisit the master tape in the nineties and produced a new mix of the songs onto cassette. The master tape was then sold to a record store, and hasn't been seen since. This cassette is all that survives--it contains the new mix of the songs, the new mix with the bass pulled back a bit, and the unmixed tunes. The last time I played this tape (~5 years ago) it played perfectly. Sound quality is excellent, better than the record IMO.
