SAVOY 1st PRESSMG 12169 Matrix no's : MG12169A X20 / B X20
Visually the vinyl retains excellent deep lustrous shiny sheen and under bright light there are actually very few visible marks and what there are are only fine hairlines and sleeve removal marks and really very little to affect sound quality.
Playback is graded a strong EXCELLENT PLUS - plays beautifully - strong and clear and rich with really only the odd tick and pop here and there but really very little to distract from the quality of the playing and the tunes and the music. A really great copy of this ELUSIVE RARE EARLY SUN RA Lp as released on SAVOY nearly 60 years ago !! The MAROON and SILVER SAVOY record labels are EXCELLENT - beautiful with minimal visible spindle wear.
The thick card PICTURE sleeve with stuck on picture is in really great shape - EXCELLENT PLUS. Printed by MODERN ALBUM Co it remains really strong with little wear at all - only a few corner dings in nearly 60 years !
All in all a fantastic copy - probably as good as you're likely to find these days !
