NETSANET MELLESSÉ & THE WALLIAS BAND - dodge - DONA WANA / BLUE MOON PRODUCTIONS 198681
Rare early 90s release by Wallias Band (Mulatu and Haile Mergia's band) led by female singer Netsanet Mellesse, impossible to find on vinyl! The sound is Ethio jazz taken into the 90s, but with horn arrangements, guitar play and synth/keyboard parts that continue in the great tradition of their earlier work. Netsanet may be a lesser known singer but she can compete with the likes of Aster Aweke!
