GIANCARLO GAZZANI & GIANCARLO SCHIAFFINI: MUSICA PER COMMENTI SONORI (COSTANZA CO 10008 - ITALY 1973) LP ****** A very rare and weird library music record in which composer Giancarlo Gazzani and trombone and tuba virtuoso and Nuova Consonanza member Giancarlo Schiaffini team up to pay homage to some of the most representative composers of the 20th Century: Gyorgy Ligeti, Mauricio Kagel, John Cage, Claude Debussy, Anton Webern, and others. Each piece is composed and played using the specific techniques of each composer it is dedicated to and it would be probably very hard not to mistake them for pieces actually written by those musicians.
