A brief history of this pressing: sub pop pressed this limited edition vinyl. This limited edition came with a songbook feature that when activated makes the record jacket sing like those Christmas cards with a small speaker in them. The album was also pressed on a really sweet tri color vinyl. Well shortly after release the album got recalled because the small speaker in the album jacket caused the records to warp. Sub pop recalled the pressing and repressed all the records (again on tri color vinyl) and sent out an apology letter with the new vinyl.
What you’re buying:
The original album sleeve with the sound chip in it. The original warped tri color vinyl (still play fine, but are warped), the replacement non-warped tri color vinyl, and the apology from sub pop about the whole ordeal.
