The orchestra being misidentified as the "Berlin Symphony Orchestra" with "Gerd Rubahn", conductor. Bustabo is listed under the pseudonym "Karl Brandt". Pseudonymous issue of the April 1943 RRG (Reichs-Rundfunk-Gesellschaft) recording of Bustabo with the Orchester des Reichssenders München under Bertil Wetzelsberger.
guila bustabo: Born Manitowoc, WI, 25 Feb. 1916; died Birmingham, AL, 27 Apr. 2002.Started her career as a child prodigy pushed by her (tor)mentoring mother. Carnegie Hall debut at age 15 was followed by international touring. Her postwar career was ruined by her mother's decision to stay and work in Nazi Germany. Despite de-nazification in Paris, she never gained back her reputation in the US. Worked as a violin professor at the Innsbruck, Austria, conservatory from 1964 to 1970. After that, she played in the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, but was not comfortable with section work. Died a pauper aged 86 in 2002, only ten years after her mother, whose influence on her life she never managed to flee.

Cover has a clean front slick, top and bottom edges have mouth and middle splits, back cover has foxing and edges are browned
No visible spindle marks on deep groove labels. vinyl surfaces have some gloss, both sides have a scattering of sleeve scuffs and short needle marks, some feelable, but they don't seem to contribute much in terms of sound defects, record plays through better than it looks, with the caveat of the inferior pressing material characteristic of most royale (and plymouth, remington,and allegro) pressings
obviously a live recording using period field equipment. play graded on a diamond stylus tracking weight set at 1.4 grams
