I have been buying and selling on Ebay since 1997 &
have definitely found that 99% of the folks I deal with
are honest; as they have found me to be.
AND, 99% of my international mailings have been received
without any problems, regardless of value or shipping method.
Ebay/Paypal has instituted rules that lead to very
high additional postage costs of $15.00-35.00 for out of the
U.S. buyers in order for sellers to be “protected” against
lost, damage, buyer fraud etc. Although, I can understand
their position in instituting this, I can also see why buyers
find it objectionable to pay these addition costs on top of
already expensive shipping costs!
Also, I have found no reason, IN MY EXPERIENCE, to
restrict my shipping to exclude ANY country in the world,
because of “poor Postal Systems” - “dishonest buyers” – “your
country’s monetary problems” etc.
Therefore, all my won auctions will be shipped to ANY Country at the stated
amount regardless of the winning bid amount. All my invoices to
my winners will reflect this; usually USPS 1st Class Int’l. The winning
bidder will receive an email notice when I have purchased
the postage and printed the shipping label.
Of course, that is as much as
I can guarantee when shipping 1st class Internationally. If you want or
need more guarantee, such has tracking, JUST LET ME KNOW through
Ebay’s email system and I will send you a revised invoice
reflecting any guaranteed higher cost shipping method you desire.
Otherwise, I will assume the lower cost 1st class postage is what you choose.
