ULTRA RARE PRE-RELEASE PROMOTIONAL ALBUM - HOLY GRAIL OF GRANICUS COLLECTIBLES
You are bidding on a pre-release promtional copy of the 1973 GRANICUS album. Included is a press release from RCA for the album. It is an original RCA photocopy....a poor one, but genuine. The record has white blank labels with the following matrix numbers indicating original pressing. AP L1-0321A-1; AP L1-0321B-1. The cover has a GRANICUS sticker (based upon the stock release cover art) adhered to a plain white cover. The RCA employee who tried to adhere the sticker to the plain white cover obviously mis-stuck it and re-stuck it. The result is a down-to base cardboard tear (see picture above the sticker). This is an incredibly rare version of a highly collectible record.....internet searches did not reveal documentation of another copy. 
GRANICUS was a early 1970's Cleveland based band with a sound described as Led Zeppelin crossed with Rush. Other comparisons to BLUE CHEER, THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE and DEEP PURPLE abound. Hard rock historians and golden gem fans will adore this copy. Some references to anti-folk punk rock seem appropriate in a city that spawned other HARD ROCK punk bands in the same era like ROCKET FROM THE TOMBS, the ELECTRIC EELS and the MIRRORS.
