Description

Artist:  CHET BAKER

Title:   “Sings and Plays with Bud Shank, Russ Freeman and Strings”

Label:   PACIFIC JAZZ.  Monaural pressing on medium thick vinyl.  Label is black with silver text, with deep groove.  Catalog number is PJ-1202.

Year:  1955.

Personnel:

Chet Baker – trumpet and vocal

Russ Freeman – piano

Red Mitchell and Carson Smith – bass

Bob Neel – drums

Bud Shank – flute

Corky Hale – harp

and Strings.

Condition: 

DISC:  Vinyl is NEAR MINT with 100% of original gloss, as clean as can be found.  Appears to have been played one or two times at most, and handled with care.  Labels are clean.  Fidelity is superb.  A gorgeous disc you will never need to upgrade.

JACKET:  Jacket has obvious signs of wear and handling, but still quite serviceable.   Reverse panel is signed in black pen “Keith - Thanks - Chet Baker .  Laminated panels are clean; reverse has original record store stamp in upper right corner.  Top seam has approx. 6” split, spine has approx 9” split, and bottom seam has approx. 8” split.  Not the best jacket, but the signature is clear and the artwork is bright and clean.
