Description
HELLO FOLKS here is my next item up for sale a extremely rare and out of print JOHN LENNON ROOTS john lennon sings the great rock and roll hits the original i repeat the ORIGINAL 1975 ADAM Vll release. owned by me when i purchased it through the newspaper mail order cut out for $12:95 shipped from new york. a short story regarding this very rare and out of print beauty. john had made an offer to release this through a mail order company. the offer was stopped when lennon went to court to stop the release as he did not think the music was up to par. as he was just starting his capitol/apple release. the court case ended in 1976 several copies were already mailed to customers (including this particular) issue the company was stopped from issuing any further releases. due to the photo of john (which lennon stated it was a old version photograph from let it be sessions. and the music which was considered not up to the standards and sub par. (not completed masters) later after the albums was stopped several bootleggers went on a reissuing war. and there are several differences in this (original ADAM Vlll release) the boots have a different cover name calling it the (john lennon sings the greatest rock and roll hits) as the original is sings the GREAT rock and roll hits. so all others are counterfeited boots. this is the original release also it is stated on the back john lennon and apple records ltd all others do not have this on there releases. well here it is an original completely OOP and plays great no skips. thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!
