King Crimson    lizard        island   ' pink rim label '      ILPS- 9141        A-2 u     &     B-2 u  matrix numbers 



Beautiful scarce album from 1970, getting harder to locate in any reasonable condition and i am pleased to report that this one is in fantastic condition. 


The condition of the cover , vinyl , labels and audio 

The quite thick vinyl is in suburb mint condition with no marks or scratches at all. This vinyl has a deep shine and its clear that its had very little play if any. 
The labels are in mint condition without any spindle wear at all and without any writing or markings... perfect. 
The audio is superb... no distortion or signs of heavy play, almost sounds like a new audio vinyl. This has been tested on a clearaudio emotion and it really does sound beautiful... one of the best near mint. 
The Gatefold laminated sleeve is in fantastic near mint condition, perfect spine, no writing at all and a nice shine to the laminated sleeve. 

 
Please note I use UK Record Collector grading system for all albums with the addition of the accepted Near Mint category:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. 
The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

NEAR MINT:  The record  appears new but is known to have been played because the label has light spindle marks or because it has come from a previous owner 
and is assumed to have been played by them
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. 
The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality,
despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. 
The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. 
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. 
The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
