Amon Duul "Disaster (Luud Noma)" BASF 29-29079-4, Germany, 1969. Two lps EX- (sleeve traces); gatefold jacket EX- (just mild rubbing and a few small creases along edges -- typical of thin Euro jackets). *** Massive, joyous, shambling RACKET from this German communal group. Now, I did share an apartment with the nephew of Renate, the singer from Amon Duul II (the two groups went their separate ways after living together for a bit) but that did not change my mind that this branch of the Family is the one to beat! Crazed, loose playing, all recorded in-the-red, and apparently, this double-lp and the group's other two earliest albums were all comitted to tape in a single, weekend-long blast! To me, Amon Duul and Faust are the heroes of their era, period. A MUST-OWN for all fans of the genre!
