Ace trumpeter Eddie Thornton, otherwise known in reggae circle as Tan Tan, has appeared on scores of serious roots albums. Here, thanks to Maccabees, he gets to take solo flight on twelve tremendous tracks ranging in styles from ska & rock steady to reggae and even jazz. Tan Tan is joined by a heavenly host of top ranking reggae players of instruments from Jackie Mittoo to Junior Marvin of The Wailers. Every track a delight. Highlights include "Tribute To Don Drummond", "Night Train", "Old Man River", "Alpha Boys School", "How Long I Got To Wait", "P.S. I Love You" and many, many more. Excellent biographical liner notes on Eddie by Janice McKenzie on back cover along with black & white photo of Eddie playing trumpet with Steve Gregory on sax. The good old days never die. The ORIGINAL Maccabees vinyl is in near mint condition with no skips, no warp, no scratch. The original cover is also in mint shape with no disc imprints, no bent corners, no split seams and no handwriting anywhere. Tan Tan is tuff, tight and top notch.
