EINSTUFUNG: LP ist im verdunkelten Raum, unterm Halogenlicht ( Stiftsockellampe! mit 2 Stiften) einer Tischleuchte, optisch eingestuft worden, das Licht ist nach unten gerichtet, nicht höher als der Bauchnabel. Das ist die zuverlässigste Art zu erkennen, ob die LP ungespielt ist oder nicht; mögliche Gründe für die Klangverschlechterung wie die sich überkreuzenden Wischer, die sich nach meiner 40 jährigen Erfahrung als Sammler schlimmer auswirken als sichtbare, aber oberflächliche Streif- Zieh- oder Oberflächen-Kratzer, die man mit dem Nagel nicht spüren kann, sieht man deutlicher. Sie sind meistens die Ursache für Sprünge, Verzerrungen des Klangs. Schauen Sie sich die ersten beiden Bilder an. 20 Watt, Lampentyp: R 4. Das letzte Foto dient zur Anschauung, so genau sieht man die Stelle unter anderen Lichtern kaum oder gar nicht.
GRADING: LP is graded in darkened room, under a table-lamp with halogen light (with 2 pins to plug in the holes, not a bulb). The light is directed down, is not higher as your bellybutton. This is the most reliable way to detect if the LP is played or not. Also you can see the possible reasons on surface for distorted sound like crossings hairlines (called "scuffs") that can affect on HIgh FIdelity= HiFi sound or can cause jumping; according to my experiences of 40 years collecting vinyl, these crossing hairlines are worst than visible but not feelable (with nail) signs us usage or light scratches. Look at the both pictures. 20 Watt, lamp type (in Germany) R 4. Last picture is for demonstration only, you can not see the part so exactly under other light sources.
mint= m= ungespielt /unplayed (sealed or not!) near mint= nm= wahrscheinlich ungespielt oder einmal, mikroskopische Veränderung zu mint, sollte ohne Nebengeräusch spielen / probably unplayed, or once played, well cared, there is microskopic difference to mint LP, should play without any noise
mint -= m-= 2 bis 5 Male aufgelegt, sehr wenige, geringfügige Gebrauchsspuren, die man bei fast allen anderen Lichtarten kaum erkennen kann; akustisch wird man kaum etwas an Fremdgeräusch hören, wenn, dann mildes Rascheln im Hintergrund, im Normalfall 0 bis 5 Sekunden, maximal bis 20 Sekunden möglich / 2 up to 5 times played, just a few, slight signs of usage that you can hardly detect under light sources; acoustically you will hear no other sound than the music usually, in usual case between 0 and 5 seconds, maximal up to 20 seconds mild background noise possible
vg++= 5 bis 10 Male aufgelegt, etwa 1/3 der Oberfläche mit leichten Wischern, Haarlinien oder Verfärbungen, zwischen 20 bis 60 Sekunden hier und da mildes Nebengeräusch, einige leichte "plops" sind möglich, aber auch ein Klang wie bei einer m- LP, kommt auf die Pressung an, manche nennen dies "ex", eigentlich ist es vg+(m-?) / 5 up to 10 times played, circa 1/3 of the surface shows light scuff, hair lines or a few dull signs, mild background noise and a few "pops" are possible, between 20 and 60 seconds, sometimes it will sound like a m- LP, depends on the press, some sellers call this "ex", actually= old scholl grading it is vg+(m-?)
