Description
This is an original 1980s UK Factory pressing of the Substance LP with a thick glossy outer sleeve, thick glossy inner sleeves and heavyweight vinyl. The catalog number is FACT 200. Matrixes are FACT 200 A*/B*/C*/D*. There is a run off message on each side - the one on the first side is Goodbye Davy Pils 27 12 78 - 5 6 87. I have owned this from new and it is all original in a genuine excellent to near mint condition. It has been played no more than half a dozen times and kept in a plastic sleeve for most of its life.
The outer sleeve is in excellent condition with just a tiny 2mm bump to the top of the spine and a little age related discolouration near the edges. There is no wear to the spine and all the text is clearly legible. The inner sleeves are also in excellent condition with just a little age related discolouration near the edges and some light handling marks. All sleeves remain bright and shiny with no ring wear or dirty marks.
The first record both looks and sounds near mint with no marks whatsoever and clean labels. There is a tiny amount of crackle just before the start of Ceremony but after that there is no distortion or sound loss at all. The second record looks excellent but again sounds near mint with a full, powerful sound. There are some fingerprints and a few light marks but these are not audible except for a little crackling at the very beginning of Perfect Kiss. After that there is no distortion or sound loss at all. Labels are again very clean.
All in all a very nice example with a clean cover and really amazing sound quality - you are unlikely to find a better one without paying silly money!
Item will be sent securely packed with stiffeners in a record mailer inside a protective sleeve to ensure that it doesn't get damaged in the post.
