released in 1963 on MERCURY RECORDS in france - very rare!
MONO standard # 125.500 MCL - nice heavy pressing in LAMINATED cover

-this lp has been PLAY TESTED - it plays and sounds great, with just slight crackle in between songs
-the vinyl and labels are shiny and clean. there is only slight wear that does not interfere with the play or sound
-the cover is a nice bright and clean LAMINATED cover with only slight wear; the back cover shows a little
ring wear and soiling to the white background, and there is a french record store's stamp + price on back as well

-PIERRE MICHELOT is considered the premier European jazz bassist of his generation, having played with
both MILES DAVIS and THELONIOUS MONK as well as COLEMAN HAWKINS and other bop icons
like DIZZY GILLESPIE. he also had the honor ofplaying on the final date ever recorded by the pioneering guitarist DJANGO REINHARDT
-in 1963, the year this lp was recorded, he was awarded the Academie du Jazz's Prix Django Reinhardt in
honor of his contributions to French jazz
