I recently acquired a large collection of musical entertainment paper ephemera from the collection of an independent promoter of bands and record labels in the S.F. Bay Area. Lots of interesting unique items, many publicity photos such as this some signed by the artists themselves. If you are into this sort of thing, PLEASE check my other and upcoming auctions. This is an authentic publicity photo for ROLAND KIRK circa 1957. This promotional photo was made and distributed by his Personal Manager of the time, Gerard W. Purcell. It is ink stamped by Purcell on the back. A scarce early image of this great jazz multi-instrumentalist. This photo has been sitting in a filing cabinet for the last 60 years and it is in excellent,  ARCHIVAL condition.
