Description
What I’m offering is a STERLING MASTERED, PROMO copy of the LP by David Bowie titled Heroes, issued on RCA Victor AFL1-2522 in 1977. This is an ORIGINAL pressing and NOT a reissue of any kind. There is NO barcode on the back cover.
The trail-off area on the A-side reads " STERLING gc AFL-1-2522-A-3 A1 E1 " with STERLING and A1 machine stamped, the rest hand-etched. The trail-off area on the B-side reads " STERLING AFL-1-2522-B-3 B1 M " with STERLING and B1 machine stamped, the rest hand-etched. The fact that this is a Sterling master pressing, has A1/ B1 stamped, and is a promo copy, are all indications that this record was pressed very early in the press run.
The grading on the LP is VG+ cover, NM record.
The cover, which has a " DEMONSTRATION NOT FOR SALE " gold embossed promo stamp in the top left corner on the back, has a few scratches on the front, light surface/ ring wear, a diagonal razor knife cut in the top left corner on the back, and a tiny ding/ wear spot in the bottom right corner tip.
The record, which comes in its original custom lyric inner sleeve, is in NM condition with NO scuffs or scratches. The lyric inner sleeve is in VG+ condition with some creasing and light waviness but no splits. NICE COPY!!
To prevent any more splitting to the lyric inner sleeve, I will be shipping the LP inside of a plain white inner sleeve along with the lyric inner sleeve.
