Description
For sale: A first edition UK MONO vinyl LP pressing of 'Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band' in very clean excellent condition. The LP has been very well looked after.
This is the original UK 1967 mono release, with the number PMC 7027. The labels have the black and yellow logo with silver text. The words "The Gramophone Co...etc " are in the radial text and "Sold In The UK.." and "Made In Gt Britain" notes are also present. The labels have a little spindle wear.
The Matrix numbers in the run out grooves are XEX 637-1 and XEX 638-1.
The jacket is the original heavy cardboard Garrod & Lofthouse laminated, gatefold cover with flip back glued tabs on inner spread. The jacket is in VG very good condition with some minor ring wear and some wear to the edges and corners, some laminate lift in the rear bottom right hand corner, and some pin holes in the top left hand corner, but no splits, stains or writing.
The single sided, full colour 'cut-outs' card insert is present.
The sound quality on this mono pressing is truly outstanding and fully justifies its legendary reputation.
