the complete set of 20 discs on 12 inch shellac 78 rpm, of the Bach unaccompanied cello suites played by the most able Pablo Casals. The set along with a number of other rare 78rpm cello works had been stored in the original owner's son's garage for a number of decades in a cabinet. I have listened to all 40 sides at least twice and there were very few aural defects, consistent with the lack of visible flaws, that is, until i got a hold of it, please read below. The set was very well taken care of by a professional cellist who used it as a reference recording.

victor musical masterpiece album DM 742 suites 1&6: no notable visible flaws on any of the 14 sides.  on side 10 there is a passage of 10 consecutive light tics,  and on side 14 there are three or four random light tics.

victor musical masterpiece album AM 611 of suites 2&3; though not pictured it does come with the brouchure, which has some pitting and folding.  this album has consistent light background noise throughout.  this may be improved by a cleaning on a professional machine.
1/7: side 1 has 3 1/4" feelable marks that do not sound; side 7 has 2 lightly feelable 1/2" scuffs that do not sound.
2/8: side 2 has a 1" feelable mark at start that produces five tics.
3/9: side 3 has a slight warp that produces a swish sound throughout, side 9 also has this swish, plus a number of random tics.  there is also a small chip on the rim.
4/10: side 4 has a few random tics, and there is a small mark @ 2" in that produces a pop.
<br>discs 5/11, 6/12 play a bit quieter,with not much to note, a few random tics which are not visibly accountable for, side 6 has a few very light sleeve scuffs

victor red seal album DM 1302 suites four and five:
1/14: side 1 has some crackle and a few random tics at the start, there is a 1/2" barely feelable mark that does not affect play
2/13: some intermittent tics and @ a minute in, a passage of @ 6 very light consecutive tics. side 13 has three tiny feeable needle marks, that don't appear connected to the few random tics heard.
3/12: side 3 a few random tics at start then a few intermittent. side 12 has same with a passage about a minute in that produces @5 consecutive light tics
4/11: side 4 has a pop about a minute in, with no discernable visual flaw, and a 1/4" feelable needle bounce that produces a pop and a few tics. side eleven has a bit louder background hiss that the other sides in this album, and there is a short passage of 4-5 light tics @ a minute in
5/10: side 5 also has a bit more noticeable background hiss, and scattered random tics.  side 10 starts with some sharp tics, and there are 2 tiny needle bounces and a 1/4" "bounce" near the end of the side which produces a few tics, two right at end.
6/9: side 6 has some consecutive tics in the first minute, a few other random tics intermittent. 
side 9:  so sad, i noticed a white deposit in the grooves at the start, that produced some 30 consecutive tics.  though i have been a dealer for 15 years, i was not aware of the effect of rubbing alcohol on shellac, i removed the faint deposit, but i also damaged the finish so the side now produces a bad swish for 70 revolutions, a costly lesson learned the hard way.
7/8: both sides; a few tics at start and intermittently. 

the complete set of 20 discs and their albums will weigh at least 30 pounds or more, which will make overseas shipping quite high. i will package properly and ask that the set is shipped with full insurance for our mutual protection.  please inquire with any questions
