Rare LP of contemporary English Christian Folk-songs and hymns.
Eleven original compositions written by Rev. R. H. Green performed by a choir and small band. Four of the songs have since been published in the Stainer and Bell Ltd. songbook "Jesus Folk" and the Mayhew-McCrimmon Group songbook "20th Century Folk Hymnal"
From the LP's sleeve: "This is not a professional recording of a "Concert Performance". It is a record of a local Church, who, after a brief rehearsal, met together one autumn evening in 1974, to make music and to sing something new. Imperfections were compensated by enthusiasm!"
Comes complete with accompanying A4 photo-copied & stapled songbook.
All records come with fresh new plastic sleeves and will be mailed in professional packaging with stiffeners.
Condition
I grade my records under bright light so that there is complete correlation between how the record looks and how it sounds.
Vinyl: VG+. Music plays loud, bright and clear. Bright top-end. Light static here and there but music completely dominates. Under bright light vinyl is glossy and shows some light marks. No scuffs or scratches. Plays through brilliantly both sides. Labels are clean and bold and show minimal spindle-marking.
Cover: VG+. Stiff and strong. Clean and shiny. Bright bold print. Corners and edges are stright and sharp. No edge-wear. Minimal corner-wear. Some storage-marking. Comes complete with A4 photo-copied & stapled songbook, which is clean straight and sharp.
I visit the post office every day, so if you're in the UK and want your record tomorrow, just get your order in before 16:00 GMT and choose one of the 1st class postage options and it usually arrives next morning. ( Europe delivery 3 days. Rest of the world delivery 1 week.)
