RARE RARE RARE! Rarely offered for sale, this is one of the very toughest VERTIGO releases to find (certainly up there with Dr. Z "Three Parts Of My Soul", Linda Hoyle, Tudor Lodge, Gravy Train, Ben, Cressida, Catapilla etc etc) - especially in as nice condition as this. Record has incredibly early stampers (see below), comes in fragile beautiful 6-way foldout poster cover and original date-stamped poly-lined Vertigo inner sleeve (Vertigo inner sleeves have a tiny date code on bottom edge - this has 0671 (June 1971) so is certainly the original inner). Vinyl looks like it's been played once or twice, stunning.

CONDITION : VG++/M- (Sleeve/Record)

DESCRIPTION : Record has been really well looked after - looks played a handful of times, a few ultra-light paper scuffs. STUNNING VINYL! Labels perfect. Inner sleeve is excellent.

Now, the poster sleeve. As collectors are well aware, the sleeve is unlaminated and slightly larger than a regular album sleeve - so the edges are incredibly fragile and usually show wear. I've tried to take a few photos (which can be zoomed into) to give a true indication of sleeve condition. The cover has some edge rubbing on both sides (as is normal) and some light feathering along edges. There is a light crease on top left. On the right hand edge there is a small 1cm seam split. When folded out, there is a diagonal crease on the top left panel. Apart from these small defects it's really very presentable indeed! The edges are fully intact, and there are no rips or tears or writing (or drawing pin marks, since some copies were used as posters on walls) - and when laid out flat it looks great. I've shown close ups of the right and left hand edges of the front - these are where the edges are lightly worn - all other edges and creases are superb! I've even taken a photo of the back, so you can see any areas where there might be slight issues. But I'd rate this as very, very close to excellent.

So, to sum up - absolutely superb vinyl, pristine labels, excellent Vertigo inner. And the poster sleeve has some light edge wear - but is otherwise excellent. And I really don't think you'll ever find a truly mint sleeve, unless it has been stored in a vault! A REAL BEAUTY!!!

SMALL PRINT : I am first and foremost a collector, and grade strictly as I wish everyone would. Records will be well-packed between cardboard, and sent in record mailers. In the interests of the environment, these will be recycled whenever possible. Albums will be removed from outer sleeve to avoid seam splits in transit. All records are sent with a certificate of posting, if you wish additional insurance please ask – I cannot be held responsible for missing parcels.
