Description

-This is a true and original acetate recording not like the many fake "acetate" "original" recordings commonly found.
-I bought these recordings as a investment but recent financial issues is causing me to sell.
-I bought a record collection 5 years ago at a estate auction. I am not a record collector but I know who Ernest Bloch was(he spent his last days in Newport Oregon 80 miles from my home). I know nothing of the deceased or how these recordings where acquired. The record is one of nine double sided Juilliard Recordings I have in my possession. I also have 3 double sided studio recordings of Ernest Bloch on piano recorded between 1925-1930 in San Fransisco.
-Please do feel free to call or email me for more pictures/authentication
-This item is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction early.
-Original aluminum and acetate recording from Juilliard School of Music.
-An acetate disc is cut prior to the cutting of the master disc which is used for mass production of records. This is used as a reference disc allowing the producer, engineer, artist and other interested parties to see how well the recording transfers to disc. If you have an "acetate", you have a disc that was theoretically cut for the producer, engineer and artist to listen to.

-This is a original recording and not a copy, nor were any made.
-This record has been tested for play quality using a modern stylus and can be confirmed by an independent party on request.
-This is truly a unique item rarely seen for purchase.
-Venue:Juilliard School of Music
-Composer: Popular composer Ernest Bloch
-Conductor:Jean Paul Morel
-Flute: Arthur Lora a noted teacher at Juilliard.
-Viola: Milton Katims was an American violist and conductor. He was music director of the Seattle Symphony for 22 years (1954-76).
-Small print on record label reads "This recording has been made for study purposes only. It in no way constitutes an endorsement by the Juilliar School of Music, and may not be used for commercial purposes".
-Record is VG to VG+
-I will ship but buyer must pay for insurance.
-I am acquiring more information and will add additional info shortly.
