Item For Sale:
From my own extensive worldwide London label collection, this is a 1960 South African pressed 78 rpm single by Johnny & the Hurricanes, on London International PD8373.
The two instrumental tracks are:
Rocking Goose / Revival (When The Saints Go Marching In)
The record looks in EX++ condition with almost no visible surface marks. Both sides play brilliantly, loud and clear, with no sticking or jumping and no pops or clicks.
The labels have silver text on a black background. They are very readable, with just a couple of tiny areas of spindle damage on side 1, which also has a numbered sticker on it. The sticker should be easily removed with warm water and a little patience.
The UK 78 rpm pressing of this record is catalogued at £240 in Mint condition. Although not Mint, this South African pressing is at least as rare and will be highly prized by fans and collectors alike, so bid early to avoid disappointment.
The record will be supplied in its original South African London company sleeve and protected by a white card outer sleeve. It will be shipped in a sturdy box with cardboard separators and/or bubblewrap and/or polystyrene (styrofoam), plus additional buffering material for added protection.
Shipping Rates:
UK, Channel islands, Isle of Man - £5 for first 78.
Rest of Europe - 9 GBP for first 78.
Rest of World - 13 GBP for first 78.
For each additional 78, add £1 (1 GBP) but no more than FOUR 78s can be included in one box. If you bid successfully for more than four 78s, please request the total amount to pay from the seller. All rates quoted include insurance for your peace of mind. I will NOT send 78 rpm records uninsured.
