Book Title - Star Series No. 1 / Tim Buckley Book Author - Tim Buckley with lengthy note on last page by Michael Thomas Book Publisher, Year, Page Count - West Coast Publications - Hollywood California 1968 or early 1969. 32 pages - larger stapled softcover Book Condition - Covers have wear but are not a disaster - overall light wear to covers with old damp stain at extreme upper left corner and bottom right corner which does not affect interior - two small stains at lower left rear. Upper corner at top spine has bump which can be seen throughout the interior but is not too bad - it can be seen clearly in many of the auction images and very, very light bump to lower corner. No writing etc.. Interior is clean with overall sharp pages. Very, very light smudge to far right margin page 9 - minor. Several images of Buckley. A great and rare song book of Buckley's and I do not think many were made. Book Content - songs include Aren't you the girl, carnival song, goodbye and hello, grief in my soul, hallucinations, it happens every time, morning glory, no man can find the war, once i was, pleasant street and wings. Title page states acnowledgement to Third Story Music Co.. This is a rare song book published when the artist was 22 years old - Here is a short bio of Buckley - Timothy Charles "Tim" Buckley III (February 14, 1947 – June 29, 1975) was an American singer and musician. His music and style changed considerably through the years; his first album (1966) was mostly folk, but his subsequent albums incorporated jazz, psychedelia, funk, soul, avant-garde and an evolving "voice as instrument" sound. Though he did not find commercial success during his lifetime, Buckley is admired by later generations for his innovation as a musician and vocal ability. He died at age 28, leaving behind his sons Taylor Buckley and Jeff Buckley.
