first I must tell you I don't own a record player, so I have no idea of the quality of the recording I will put all I do know below. this recording was made by the Irish radio station radio Eireann for the shipwrecked mariners society in 1960 and the shanty is the fishermen and their wife's no idea about the tune as I am not a shanty fan on the record it says run time 20.35 min.it must be said the disc is one sided and has some scratches on it and could benefit from a good cleaning how much the scratches affect the playback I do not know.I can tell you the mariners society was formed in 1839 and is still going strong today.if you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me
