Rare & original 1978 Sire Records Gold-Stamp Promotional LP for The Ramones classic LP Road To Ruin, in truly amazing condition !!
In the 1990's a couple of two long time music industry types got divorced, and instead of trying to split their massive record collection title by title, they sold the whole thing to their friends record store and split the money...that was this LP's previous history, and it has been in storage since. It's entirely possible that it's still unplayed, or maybe just once or twice. The vinyl really looks new, and look how crisp the inner sleeve still is. The cover isn't quite as clean, with a about a three-quarter of a inch beginning of a split on the top seam (it's not all the way through though) some corner wear and other minor imperfections. Still much nicer of a cover than the other first pressings out there...much less a promo. Usually if you can even find one, a first press of this record has been played many, many times and shows it. The inner sleeve is crumpled or torn, if it's even there at all. At this point, I'm guessing this is probably one of the top examples of a first press/gold-stamp promo of this LP left anywhere.....
