the reverend frank wright, tenor saxophone & vocals; noah howard, alto sax; bobby few, piano; art taylor, drums. harmonica & hand bells uncredited. master older-school drummer & author of _notes&tones_ taylor joins free jazz expats wright ,howard & few for this monumental 1970 paris session. alternately anthemic & funereal themes always open up into stratospheric ensemble blowing! all five compositions by howard, val wilmer liner notes. consider it among the finest records in the byg & america catalogs.
