ERKIN KORAY "Mechul/Ve..." (Diskotur 5001)

Last week we listed a truly fantastic Koray single from 1970 from the Diskotur label. He recorded only two singles for the pioneering Diskotur label and both are jewels in his discography where he did not act with any commercial motives and just played as well as he liked. These two singles also show his band "Yeralti Dortlusu" at their best. This is the other single put out from that label (actually their first ever release!) and again, it's a maaaaaasterpiece of a psychedelic record. Endless fuzzing up, Erkin's stinging trademark psych guitar and great playing in a very wild manner can sum it up... and, what you hear on the starting of B side is not a human scream!!! It's still amazing to hear this was done in 1970!!! The cover states "Yuksek Sesle Caliniz" which means "Play It Loud!". This "Mechul" is actually one long track split in two parts for the single. This single, like Gel Bak Ne Soylicem has never been in ANY compilation done on Erkin and it's just amazing noone bothered!!! Sleeve is VG++, disc is VG with surface noise. Just as rare as the previous one we put up, we put up a lower starting price because of disc's VG condition but don't let that bother you; disc plays quite nice.
