The cover has very little marks and wearing , the original inner is slightly spilt bu intact and the vinyl sounds superb , (especially side 2)…with expected bit of crackling in between tracks
A great item all round! In my life , in particular, sends a shiver up and down the spine!

The "Loud Cut" is the very first pressing of the Beatles' Rubber Soul album that was discontinued after a short pressing run. The reason: it was not the correct cut, thus, replaced and now has become a collector's item.
But is it worth collecting?
That really depends on you; but sonically, it's really a bust. Just a novelty item.
I finally got a chance to hear this Yellow and Black Parlophone original (XEX 579-1/XEX 580-1) and compare it with a regular release (XEX 579-4/XEX 580-4).
The "Loud Cut" has the vocals stretched thin, making it sound aggressive and edgy (like it's too "loud" for the brain). It lacks body, has muddled bass and overall sounding like a bad CD.
The regular (-4,-4) pressing, on the other hand (after just listening for a minute or two) has wonderful PRaT (pace, rhythm and timing). It's tonally balanced, has correct body, more relaxed and defined bass - it's just a more natural presentation.
Finally, forget about the hoopla - this is one "first pressing" you can do without.
