Description

Nice unpeeled banana original pressing of the velvet underground & nico s/t LP from 1967. Verve V6-5008.  This is the 3rd state edition with Eric Emerson's image airbrushed off the rear cover. 

COVER:  VG  Gatefold jacket with 100% of the infamous banana still intact... getting hard to find these days with whole sticker still there! The sticker has been split and re-attached perfectly near the top.   Some age spotting and ringwear to front and rear - Spine is split at center though title is legible.  Corners are bumped.  Top and bottom seams look good with no splitting.  (please note: pic of front cover has shadow at top right, not a mark on cover)  There has been some water damage to cover, and there are wrinkles to cardboard and discoloring to cover slick.  Inside images have been torn away, due to wetness - see images.  Small name in pen above stereo print on rear. 

VINYL:  VG++  Beautiful copy with lots of shine,  several wispy play marks - sounds GREAT!  a few light clicks heard on my play test... i'll be your mirror has a fair bit of background noise - a few clicks also heard on femme fatale and sunday morning.  Little unwanted noise on the more rocking tunes on playback.  NO deep visible or feelable scratches at all -- LP lies flat.  

LABELS:  NM  some play marks, though still clean.
