Tracklisting on labels in a serif typeface. 'Printed and made by 'Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd.' on the downmost part of the back cover. Tracing-paper-lined “Use Emitex” die-cut inner sleeve....close to this version I believe: https://www.discogs.com/release/13715298-The-Beatles-Rubber-Soul (although has MT tax code)

The release of the mono with matrix 4/4 is often renowned as the best sounding cut - read a snippet from a review comparing it to the first pressing 1/1 so called 'loud cut'...
I finally got a chance to hear this Yellow and Black Parlophone original (XEX 579-1/XEX 580-1) and compare it with a regular release (XEX 579-4/XEX 580-4).
The "Loud Cut" has the vocals stretched thin, making it sound aggressive and edgy (like it's too "loud" for the brain). It lacks body, has muddled bass and overall sounding like a bad CD.
The regular pressing, on the other hand (after just listening for a minute or two) has wonderful PRaT (pace, rhythm and timing). It's tonally balanced, has correct body, more relaxed and defined bass - it's just a more natural presentation....

Condition: Sleeve - some staining on rear, no writing, VG, .....inner - emitex, great condition, no splits....labels a bit of scratching....vinyl, has surface marks, but VG....Side 1 = plays excellently , no significant noise, super copy.......Side 2 = ditto, less marks too, slight tick on end of B7....overall great sound 4/4 - the best
