Andy Warhol presents The Velvet Underground & Nico on yellow label Verve. V-5008 Disc Jockey Record NOT FOR SALE. This is the legendary MONO pressing with different mixes. This also has the original torso image on the back cover. The front cover has the original banana sticker. The banana has a tear at the very bottom but is intact. At the top the banana, the stem has been removed. The gatefold is beautiful. No writing. Slight shelf wear. Fully intact spine. One inch split at bottom center of lp side gatefold. Two inch split at top toward opening on lp side of gatefold. Both are clean tight splits. Slight inch crease toward middle spine on front and back. Overall very strong cover & gatefold rated at VG+. The vinyl has strong gloss & the labels are very clean with no writing. Slight hairline marks can be seen on the vinyl in very strong light only. Side one: Sunday Morning has slight surface noise at the opening of song. I'm Waiting for the Man plays loud and clear. Femme Fatale has slight surface noise at the opening of song and a groove wear sound, a second if that long, toward the early part of song. Venus in Furs plays loud and clear. Run Run Run plays loud and clear. All Tomorrow's Parties plays loud and clear, beautiful. Side two: Heroin has slight surface noise at the opening of song. There She Goes Again plays loud and clear. I'll Be Your Mirror has slight surface noise at the opening of song. The Black Angel's Death Song has very slight surface noise at the opening of song. European Son plays very loud and clear. Overall vinyl is rated at VG+. This is a strong mono listening experience that is very different from the stereo pressings. Much has been said about how this is the greatest rock album ever.
